Today is the second day that i have to park my car at the old faithful Padang Merbok parking lot. In short, now i have to reach to the office before 9, swipe my attendance and drive back to Padang Merbok to catch the last shuttle at 9.15am and i will be in the office at approximately 9.24. So if anybody is looking for me, wait till it's 9.25am ok. In previous month i have been spending RM4 per day to park my car at SK Hisamuddin. Unfortunate for us, the schools PIBG finally barred us from parking at their compound. It's not that we're parking there for free. We're paying for it.
Their arguments is that parents who wants to pick up their children don't have a proper place to park their cars thus parking their cars by the roadside. Welll duhhh!!!. I've been monitoring the parking lot for 2 days now and there were roughly about 5 cars that did park in the parking lot to pick up their child. The rest still park by the roadside. Hopefully the traffic police can take proper action and make them use the parking facilities that was once ours!!!! *Evil LOL*
As at the previous year, the charge was RM3 per day and later increased to RM4. I roughly estimate that the school can generate an income of RM400 per day.
This is what they will loose out:
RM4 x 100 cars = RM400.
RM 400 x 5 days = RM 2000
RM2000 x 4 weeks in a month = RM 8000.
Yup, that is the rough figure of the income that the school will be generating if they were to keep in business. Minus the cost of two security guards and you can still have a lot more to fund the school activities rather then raising funds and donations.
The only people who can park their car at the schools are parents, and that's if you have a child studying there. Makes me wonder whether i want to send Sofea to school there. Hmmmm????
The positive side of it is now i am saving RM4 per day. The negative side, i will have to spend a few extra minutes to be on the shuttle which i guess total up to about 30 minutes per day.
So my message to them, "Let us park at the school. You don't know what you're missing" but thanks a lot Padang Merbok for providing us with the parking lot.
p/s: the place is getting kinda crowded lately
