A closing memorabila

Must have ice cream....grrrr

How was your last day of 2008 spent? Were you one of those people that gathered with the crowd to mark the new year or the one sitting at home watching tv as it all happen? For me, we usually spent the last day of the year sitting down in front of the tv and strike 12, we would head off to the balcony witnessing the fireworks display around KLCC from the comfort of our living room. That has been the same thing for the past few years.

But for the so called last day of 2008, we made a little different and infact we might even remember it for the a few years to come. As usual after dinner at rumah Kent, we would usually go home and wait till12am. But as Jie, wifey, me and sofea was chit chatting while reading the newspaper, i than saw and advertisement on paper saying discount on Baskin Robin's ice cream. And from that moment on, the topic shifted from new year too ice cream. Wifey even taught Sofea how to say Baskin Robin in her own language of course.
So after much persuasion, we then head down to Aeon AU2 for the ice cream. Once i reached there i was shocked. My God, this many people to buy ice cream? Hell you even have to take a number before you are being entertained. The crowd was so pack till you can't feel the aircond anymore. And they keep coming too.

We had to wait for a while till our number were called. We bought 1 quart and two double scoop ice cream for us to take there. The total bill was around RM50. The staff there are all quite new and i guess they were heaving trouble as the crowd swarm in like nobody's business. Hey, it's their first 31st of the month since the mall was only opened on 5th Dec.

Finally after we paid the ice cream and got our take away pack, we sat down lepakking while enjoying our ice cream at the entrance of the building. Sofea too was really enjoying herself running around freely while enjoying her expensive discounted ice cream. After finishing up the ice cream, we head home as we don't want the ice cream to melt.

That is roughly what we did in the last day of 2008. Maybe not so much impact to others, but for me it's totally something that you could look back and think of. Taking que numbers to buy ice cream. What's next eh?
ps: happy new year 2009
